The program should appear in whatever launcher you use.WordPress is equipped with a rich suite of image editing and management features that allow you to insert and manipulate graphics and photography with ease. So anyways, once you get the sources and dependencies compiling and installing is very easy. With a command like this you can search for packages with the letters “qt5” in them that also has the string “-dev”. The development package will probably have a suffix like -dev. If there are no precompiled release for your distro you can compile a release very easy. You can also download Qt-Creator which is the IDE I used to create this program. If you rather not deal with resolving dependencies yourself you can download Qt from the Qt website. If you need to compile it you use the same exact steps you used for qt4 except the qmake command might be qmake-qt5. Version 2.0 fixes some issues with Ubuntu and all the code is updated for Qt5. Here you can find the package on the OpenSuse Build Service. Here you can find packages for OpenSuse, Fedora, RedHat, and CentOS. Thanks to some helpful people on Reddit people have tested it and helped me iron out any issues they discovered It can resize almost any type of file you would need to resize. I’ve tested it with hundreds of files and it seems to work fine no matter how much you throw at it. Alternatively, you can also set it so all of the resized files end up on the same folder with no subdirectories. I coded this so it looks at all the images and finds the first parent folder that all of the files share. It can resize a directory recursively and preserve your directory structure in the destination folder. It has plenty of options for fine tuning. It came out looking like this: BIR – The Linux batch image resizerĪlong with resizing it will also rotate your images and crop them. I set out to create a batch image resizer with a GUI similar to the ones I’ve used on Windows. With a quick Google search I couldn’t find any way to do this that didn’t involve a command line. There are also situations where you have images of many different sizes and you want to resize them uniformly. If you want to email images you probably want to resize them all before you send them. Even with our broadband connections having a slideshow of 5mb images does not make a lot of sense. Images from your digital camera tend to be big.

Initially these Mac wallpapers featured a blue aqua look to match the ‘Aqua’ UI style of older macOS. Starting from macOS 10.0 Cheetah that was released way back in 2001 all the way to the very recent macOS 10.14 Mojave, almost each of these operating system versions featured a unique desktop wallpaper that became iconic, as it was featured on all Apple marketing material and even on Mac boxes. MacOS Catalina brought big changes to the Mac, including the ability to run iPad apps natively, opening the platform up to a much larger number of developers than ever before.Apple has included a different wallpaper with almost every release of Mac OS X, which is now renamed as macOS. Users could even have macOS slowly fade between the two background images over the course of the day. No more mountains! Mojave brought a new system-wide Dark Mode, and the OS shipped with two versions of its default wallpaper to match. Named after a breathtaking spot in Yosemite National Park, El Capitan was a clean-up year after 10.10. The wallpaper ushered in a new era based on … well … mountains. Yosemite brought another UI refresh to the Mac, making things flatter and more modern. The wave depicted looks as intimidating as the ones in the famous surfing location. Mavericks marked the beginning of Apple’s “California location” naming scheme for Mac releases. Just like Snow Leopard before it, with Mountain Lion, Apple opted to clean up and revise the existing theme as opposed to changing directions for what would be a less-impactful release of OS X. The space nerd in me likes the idea, but the execution of this one leaves dead-last on my list of favorites. Lion kept up the space theme, this time showing off the Andromeda galaxy. This starscape is still one of my favorites. The “no new features” mantra for Snow Leopard didn’t ban a new wallpaper, thankfully. The server version of Leopard server came with its own unique wallpaper that is a real treat: It ushered in the “space era” of OS X wallpapers, which was used heavily in the new Time Machine interface as well. As such, Leopard was the first version of OS X to break from the Aqua-themed wallpaper. While that may or may not be true, it is my favorite Aqua-inspired wallpaper.Ĭomplete with a revised, unified user interface and shiny new Dock, 10.5 broke the Aqua mold. Many consider Tiger to be the best “classic” version of Mac OS X. While Panther inflicted Macs everywhere with Brushed Metal, its wallpaper stayed on brand, refreshing the original 10.0 image. In my head, the trails streaking across the screen were from a set of comets. Jaguar took the same Aqua-inspired theme but added some depth and motion to things. The sweeping blue arcs and curves helped set the tone of the new Aqua interface. The first two releases of Mac OS X shared the same wallpaper. This I basically derived off the above Single target build and tweaked a few things. AOE / Multi-target generic build - (using Festival tiger companion). The companion gears used are 3x Tarnished Emerald TalishmansĢ. You can reach potentially this or more dps depending on the debuffs / buffs used on the dragon. You can reach some really high DPS with this build.Īs you can see even with support phases (2x). I Have managed to do a decent job of balancing out the two. I use the undead ring 10% here since the dragon seems to be undead as well across all phases, considering the ring works for mobs and valindra It seems to be the best one to use provided you dont sacrifice a lot of stats for it. This is a fine balance between percentage damge bonuses from gear + companions and some really decent stats. This is a specific build I refined over some time just for Crown of keldegonn (Master). Single target dragon(Crown of keldegon) build - (using Icosahedron Ioun stone companion) Insignias used are mostly dominance with a few Aggression and Skill to balance out stats.Ģ. Mount powers are Giant toad tounge lash and ferocity. The companion gears used are 2x Tarnished Emerald Talishmans and one Glistening Sword Knot. Golden Cat (I switch this to book imp if both aspect of the pack and tutor is in party). The companion powers I use with this build are as follows. And your forte would generally be higher than what most other people have by about 10% - 16%, and capping forte ratings is a good thing as it translates to percentage stats for your class. The reason why I use festival tiger is you can cap / near cap all your offensive ratings including forte with it. Its important to notice that the shirt gives about 20% Cooldown reduction(1 sec reduction every 5 seconds) this is a lot you give up if you choose to not use it. If you notice there is more things that actually contribute to damage than just stats or ratings. For an example this build dosent use the Combat Advantage shirt, and thus have the bonus to cooldown reduction from shirt and the bonus stats from the pair of shirt and pants. This is a cheaper companion offering better overall percentage stats than those other two arguably. This high accuracy build is usually straying away from the popular mainstream builds using Owlbear cub or the Icosahedron Ioun Stone companions. Single target generic build - (using festival tiger companion). However for now I have only explained a few builds below, I would be adding all of my builds later on and updating this article. The buildsĬurrently I run 3 distinct builds for single target, and one build for AOE. I will describe how these feats synergize with my rotation in a later section. These are the feats I use, I will describe my feats mostly focused on single target.įor single target class feats I mostly use is Crushing roots and seekers vengence(if no one else has tutor or aspect on I switch to aspect of the pack). It is the hunter paragon path, warden may be arguably competitive for AOE but other than that it is not really something you want to play for single target damage as far as damage is concerned! There is only on real path to do the most single target damage. Since its split into both offensive and defensive stats like deflect it makes less sense to get more percentage ratings on forte rather you would have the critical serverity which would ultimately end up being a higher offensive stat. Putting in points into charisma(CHA) didn't make much sense for me as it directly translates to forte percentage which is is split into Power, Accuracy and deflect for Hunter Rangers. Strength translates to percentage damage for your class and dexerity translates to critical serverity both of these being important. These are really good stats for a dps class and simply the best given that most other races dont give that much offensive percentage stats so I have choosen this for for most of my dps classes including the Hunter Ranger.įor the ability scores I put all into strength(STR) and dexterity(DEX). Reason for this being dragonborn gives the most stats percentages, 3% Critical Strike and Power and 10% incoming healing. The race and class featsĪs with most of my dps classes I have choosen dragonborn for hunter. In the guide that follows I would be describing how I have built my ranger and how I play it in content and my openions on it. What this essentially means is that you would have a higher number of actions you have to perform on rotations (you will be pressing a lot of keys really fast). For excelling or reaching its full dps potential Hunter Rangers(HR's) have a relatively high skill ceiling compared to most other classes. I have been playing my Hunter Ranger class for a while on neverwinter now.I feel like I have enough experience and knowledge of the class to make a guide for those that are interested / curious about how I play my hunter. Extras include multiple versions of “Groon” and “Cadence and Cascade” plus an intriguing studio rehearsal of “The Devil’s Triangle.” And as with all reissues in the series, you get two stereo mixes: the original (on DVD-A) and a new one by Wilson (on both DVD-A and CD). Wilson saves his best tricks for the supermarket spoof “Cat Food,” where Keith Tippett’s splashy piano dances around the sound perimeter and backing vocals leap from right rear to left front.Īll in all, this is a dizzying but cleanly articulated Poseidon, ripe for rediscovery. The song spreads out from there, seeming to hover in the air, until the title track immerses you in a sea of Mellotron. A lovely finger-picked guitar in the left front begins “Cadence and Cascade,” as Gordon Haskell’s vocal emerges from the center and right front. Fripp’s distorted guitar roars from the left and right front channels with feral power during the “City” verses brass and reeds wail like sirens from all four corners at other times. The split-second transition from “Peace - A Beginning,” the lulling opener sung a cappella by Greg Lake, into the explosive blast of “Pictures of a City” was enough to cause a guest unfamiliar with the band’s oeuvre to topple out of his chair. Wilson makes great use of Crimson’s bold dynamic shifts. On the bright side, the rare B-side “Groon,” an unhinged instrumental, appears in a surround mix that transforms your listening room into a boxing ring. That is, with one glaring, unfortunate exception: The multitrack tapes for “The Devil’s Triangle,” a three-part composition running 11:25, are lost, necessitating its upmixing to 6.0 (by Simon Heyworth) from the original stereo master. Yet while it may have been more of the same, the template from which it drew was extraordinary, and today Poseidon sounds awesome in surround. In terms of the composition, arrangement, and positioning of its songs, Poseidon was (let’s be blunt) a virtual carbon copy of the previous year’s KC debut, In the Court of the Crimson King. And now, Porcupine Tree’s Steven Wilson has made the albums worth hearing again and again with his lush, spacious, and tactile 6-channel mixes in these CD+DVD-Audio packages. Yet each time, guitarist Robert Fripp - the unflinching, disciplined eye at the center of the storm - salvaged something worth hearing. Both 1970’s In the Wake of Poseidon (the band’s second album) and 1971’s Islands (its fourth) were recorded with unsettled lineups. The latest reissues in King Crimson’s 40 th Anniversary Series capture the band at difficult junctures in Phase 1 of its quixotic history. Not only did Covid-19 spur more people to venture outdoors and fuel demand for firepits, kayaks, apparel, and SUPs, but the brands that make those products found that going to market on their own, without the help of a retailer, was a way to control distribution and messaging while preserving margins. It’s going to give us improved access to the customer, it’s going to give our customer better options.”Īnother driver behind the deals, undoubtedly, was the pandemic. We believe that, if done right, bringing brands together as we’ve done is better than any one of us could have done it by ourselves. “We truly believe that the next decade and beyond is going to be led by direct-to-consumer, digitally native brands that know how to deliver and are obsessed about delivering an exceptional customer experience. “This is not a financial play for us,” he said. Their similar approach to customer experience-Merris said the four companies all hold the aim of “delighting the consumer”-was a key unifier in bringing them together under one umbrella. Instead, it’s about the shared philosophy of providing great product for consumers and delivering that product primarily, though not exclusively, via a direct channel. Merris declined to disclose the financial terms of the deals, but he emphasized that aligning with Oru, Chubbies, and ISLE was about much more requiring an EBITDA minimum or some other metric on a balance sheet. “We’ve almost doubled in size in terms of headcount through the acquisitions and we’ve done that without a single person being redundant and having to be let go, which has been awesome,” he said. Solo Stove employed about 140 people, and now Solo Brands, with the addition of the three new companies, will have more than 220 employees, Merris said. Everybody wants to continue to build their unique communities but then also share across those communities, which I think is pretty special.” “They’re excited to lean into this together as a team and do something that has never been done before, which is bringing together a house of outdoor enthusiast lifestyle brands that are digitally native, and everybody wants to stay in and be a part of it. “They’re not being acquired and thrown to the side, and that makes this unique,” Merris said. The same goes for each company’s leadership structure, Merris added. ISLE in San Diego and Chubbies in Austin, Texas-and with current teams intact. Each brand will operate as its own P&L from its current headquarters location-Solo Stove in Southlake, Texas Oru Kayak in Oakland, Calif. He said that while “acquire is the accurate and right word” to describe the addition of Oru, ISLE, and Chubbies, “in a lot of ways we just feel like we’re just partnering with great brands.”įor one, there are no redundancies with the union, no need to eliminate entire departments like finance or marketing or HR. With the last of the three deals formally completed and closed, Merris becomes CEO of the Solo Brands platform and brand president for 10-year-old Solo Stove. “It just started all feeling right, and we thought, ‘These brands are in our wheelhouse, and maybe we’re thinking about something even bigger than we initially thought.’ And the idea of Solo Brands was born.” “We just started leaning in hard on everything that these brands collectively could bring together and we started envisioning our customers in Chubbies gear feeling great about themselves, or out on the water on an ISLE paddleboard or in an Oru Kayak, or sitting around their Solo Stoves at camp,” he said Wednesday. Together, each brand adds value to the other. Merris told Outside Business Journal the reason for the spate of additions was simple: Solo Stove found a trio of like-minded brands that wanted to partner not only because of their outdoor-focused product lines but also because each is customer-obsessed with a penchant for direct-to-consumer sales and a strong focus on giving back to communities. The result of the buying spree is a new outdoor platform called Solo Brands, with the quartet of businesses now working together under the majority ownership of Boston-based Summit Partners. Solo Stove on Wednesday closed on its acquisition of men’s outdoor apparel brand Chubbies Shorts, a deal that followed the May acquisition of Oru Kayak and the August acquisition of paddleboard maker ISLE. John Merris and his team at the outdoor firepit brand Solo Stove didn’t set out to become serial acquirers, but that’s exactly what happened when the private equity-backed company went from zero acquisitions to three bolt-ons in the span of just a few months. Solo Stove’s recent acquisitions, the latest of which closed yesterday, will form the basis for a new DTC-focused outdoor portfolio called Solo Brands. |
